Enable Developer Console (Launch Option)
raft — Console Commands
Activates the in-game developer console, which is required to run all other commands in Raft.
Syntax
-console (add to Steam launch options)
Example
Steam Library > Right-click Raft > Properties > General > Launch Options: -console
💡 Notes
Requires game restart after adding. Console opens with Tab or ~ (tilde) key. [verify] key binding may vary by keyboard layout.
🎯 Tips & Tricks
Type exactly -console (with the hyphen) in the launch options field, then launch the game normally.
Once in-game, press Tab or ~ to open/close the console. If it doesn't appear, check your keyboard layout and try both keys.
The launch option stays active until you remove it, so you don't need to re-add it each session.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Console doesn't open after adding -console
Restart Steam and the game completely. Ensure the launch option is in the correct field (not in the game's properties elsewhere).
Console opens but commands don't work
Make sure you're in a single-player world or as the host. Some commands are restricted in multiplayer client mode.
