🎯 Tips & Tricks
After installing the mod, load your game and open the console (tilde key). Type 'setini bAchievementsEnabled:General=1' and press Enter. Then save and reload. This forces the game to re-enable achievements on that save. For new saves, the mod works automatically—just ensure F4SE is launched via the 'f4se_loader.exe' and not the vanilla launcher.
If you complete a quest and the achievement doesn't pop, check if you have 'Mod Configuration Menu' (MCM) installed. Go to MCM > Achievements > and set 'Enable' to 'True'. If it's already true, open the console and type 'cqf AchievementTracker' to force a refresh. This is a known issue when other mods use the same quest event hooks.
In Survival mode, achievements like 'Unstoppable' (reach level 100) are still disabled if mods are active. Install this mod and then start a new survival playthrough. To verify it works, after reaching level 10, the 'Level 10' achievement should pop. If not, ensure you have the latest version of F4SE and that the mod's DLL is in the 'Data\F4SE\Plugins' folder.
🔧 Troubleshooting
Achievements still disabled when using 'Fallout 4 VR' or the 'Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update' (1.10.980) because the mod is outdated.
Download the latest version from the Nexus page (search 'Achievements F4SE') that supports game version 1.10.980 or later. If you're on VR, use the 'Achievements VR' standalone mod. For the next-gen update, ensure you have F4SE 0.6.23 or higher, and place the plugin in the correct folder. Check the mod's 'Posts' tab for community patches.
Conflict with 'Buffout 4' (a common F4SE plugin) causing a crash on game load because both hook into the same achievement function.
Update Buffout 4 to the latest version (4.6.0+), which includes a built-in compatibility patch for Achievements. If the crash persists, in your 'Data\F4SE\Plugins\Buffout4.toml' file, set 'Achievements' to 'true' under the 'Compatibility' section. This disables Buffout's own achievement hook and lets Achievements mod work alone.
